We are open to working with company structures of all types and would look to invest in companies and businesses of all types. Grants are open to sole traders, for investment, a company would need to be incorporated.

We find it easier to build relationships in UK, however we’re not closed-minded about location and are open to conversations with European companies.

Our business has naturally evolved over time, and while we have deep expertise in the music industry, we are open to working with companies that complement our business, even if they operate outside of the music, festivals, and hospitality sectors. If your business aligns with our goals and values, we are open to considering it for investment.

Our track record and expertise lie in scaling up businesses that are already moving, we are open to talking to entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. Whether you're at the minimum viable product (MVP) or prototype stage, or your business is already launched and gaining traction, we encourage you to engage with us. Attending our events, interacting with us on social media, or working at The Halley can be excellent ways to initiate the conversation.

Absolutely. We believe in fostering long-term relationships. Beyond financial support, you will have access to our mentorship and guidance, our spaces, facilities, and our community.

We are always present at our Haggerston campus, and there are numerous benefits to being in close proximity to our team and community of members. By being around us, you have opportunities to meet, network, and learn from our team and the community. We have even worked with and invested in businesses that originated from conversations at The Halley.

To us it means a few things. When we refer to industry outsiders, we mean individuals who may have little to no experience in the music or hospitality industries. We are excited to work with people who have great ideas and share our ethos, and aren't hindered by their lack of business experience, as we can provide support along their journey. It also means collaborating with historically marginalised groups and individuals who have not had easy access to the industry. We aim to create opportunities for those who have been underrepresented or faced barriers in traditional avenues. We actively seek to work with people from varied backgrounds and demographics.

Success means different things to different people. Whilst there are financial goals attached to every investment, for us, where we differ from traditional VC investment funds is that we see investment as a way to expand our community, reach and impact, gives us a chance to share our knowledge, and helps us realise our goals of improving the music industry from the inside out.

We understand that you may be curious about our investment amounts and how we determine them. Our investment amounts are determined based on various factors and considerations. As we invest our own money, we start with amounts that we are initially comfortable with. However, it's important to note that this is just the beginning of our proactive investment journey, and the cheque amounts may evolve over time. While some may perceive our investment as relatively small, we believe that our value-add extends beyond just financial support. Our expertise, experience, and the resources we provide can significantly contribute to the growth and success of the ventures we invest in.
